The EU contribution amounts to one billion euros per year. Only 20% of the money we send to Afghanistan happens to Afghans, 80% disappears. This is partly due to corruption of the Afghan government, but also wasteful, duplicative, to overcharging, excessive and unnecessary expenditures and safety tips.
